How To Make Fruity Cheerios

HOW TO MAKE FRUITY CHEERIOS.
BY: DYLAN CAULDER

First they put the regular Cheerios in the Refigerator.

Then they take them out and paint them.

Next they bake them.

Then they put them in the refigerator to cool.

Then they take them out and let them sit for 50 hours to warm them back up.

Finally they put in them in the box.

Don't you just love how a 7 year olds mind works.

A Busy Saturday

On Saturday Jordan and I drove down to Charleston with Amanda and Seth. Amanda's Sister-In-Law had her baby last Thursday. We had a great time. The babies did much better than we expected. They slept all the way back. While we were gone, Dray took Dylan fishing. I was his first time fishing and he caught 3 fish ALL BY HIMSELF! Five others Dray helped him with. They ended up catching 20-something fish! Dray cleaned them, and now they are in my freezer. Of course if I had of been there I would have taken pictures and of course Dray didn't. Nathan stayed with Dray and Dylan until they decided to go fishing. Then Dray took him to Daddy and Judy's. I assume he had a good time. Amanda took pictures in Charleston and as soon as I get them I will post them. She has some good ones of Jordan. There is also one of me holding the newest baby in her family. By the way it was a little girl, they named her Merideth Annette she weighed 8lbs 14oz (same as Dylan) and was 22 inches long. She's so beautiful!

The Pictures....FINALLY!

Blogger has not been letting me post pictures for some reason. But I have finally been able to post the pictures from the 9/20 posts. Scroll down to view them.

I Love To Brush My Teeth!

A few weeks ago Nathan could not stand to have his teeth brushed. I talked to Stacey about it at therapy. She decided to start working with him on it. She has worked with him 4 or 5 times. Now he LOVES to have his teeth brushed! I have no idea what changed his mind about it, but something did and I'm so happy! Today he got mad and yelled at me when I stopped brushing his teeth. He still doesn't like you to brush the two front bottom teeth but I believe that's because they are broken and sensitive.

Guess What I Am Saying...

Jordan has learned how to say:

DADA

PAPA

&

BYE BYE

No MAMA yet! =( Maybe soon though.

He has also learned how to wave bye bye and how to clap his hands!

What Is That Thing?!?!

Last night, after we ate dinner, we all went outside. The babies were in their walkers while Dray and I were playing Frisbee with Dylan. After a while I sat on the steps and turned the babies around so that they could see me. (Over the weekend we bought a scarecrow and a witch for our yard.) Well Nathan couldn't figure out what on earth that scarecrow was. It was so funny, he kept talking to it and looking at it with a puzzled look on his face. When the wind blew, the scarecrow turned around. Nathan looked at me then looked back at it, with a look like how did you do that? When I picked him up to bring him inside I stopped at the scarecrow and when I tried to put him close to it he squinted his eyes and drew back. So then I tried just putting his hand on the scarecrow's face. He did like that either. So it is official, Nathan is scared of scarecrows. =)I took a couple of pictures of the expressions he was making.

I Can Sit!

and crawl a little too...

Jordan has been sitting for about two or three weeks now. He just recently got comfortable with it though. I believe his tummy being so big hinders him from doing a lot that he normally would be doing by now. He is crawling but it is still half on his tummy. He can make it anywhere he wants to go though. He comes in the kitchen after he finishes his bottle, while I am feeding Nathan. He came in the bathroom this morning while I was giving Nathan his bath. I'm not use to a baby coming to find me. It's so much fun watching them as they learn new things.

Better & Better

I can't remember if I have told everyone or not, but Nathan has started therapy on Tuesday's now too. He goes just for Miss. Cindy (PT) & Miss. Stacy (OT). Last week Cindy started working with Nathan on his hands and knees again. (Since he has started standing, she has been focusing on that.) She told me to work with him on his hands and knees through the week. Well I worked with him about 5 or 6 times between Thursday and yesterday. When they started working with him they said that could see a big improvement. He is trying so hard. Now that Jordan is getting around, I believe Nathan wants to too. This week we are still working on hands and knees and we are working to get him to go from a lying to a sitting position. He is doing very well at it.

Normally, Nathan doesn't sit own his own for long periods. But today he sat in the floor playing while I gave Jordan his bath, he never did fall, he was still sitting when I started to give him his bath!

Root Canal

Dylan had his root canal done yesterday. He wanted Dray to take him, which was a relief for me because I really was thinking it was going to be bad. But Dray said that he whined a couple of times and wanted to grab his face but when they told him he couldn't do that he stopped. He did great! The first thing he did when he walked in the door was show me his cap. He is proud of it. He did say that it was hurting a little this morning. Hopefully he will never have to go through that again.

Jordan's Check-Up

I had forgot to post about Jordan's check-up. It was a late 6 month check-up. Everything was great. He weighs 21.3 and he is 27 1/4" long. Not too much smaller than Nathan. He is only about two pounds lighter than Nathan. He is getting a lot better with his sitting, he isn't totally comfortable with it yet. He has been getting up on his knees for about two weeks now. He will get up on all fours and rock back and forth. To get around he is still doing the belly crawl. He is growing up so fast!

I'll do my best to keep the blog updated regularly.

Remembering Our Loved Ones...

Not only does September bring the change of the season, it brings a sense of sadness. It was 9 years ago September 2nd that we lost our Daughter, Katelyn Amber. This year for me was harder than some of the years past. Dray put some beautiful pink flowers on her grave for her birthday. I am going to try to get a picture of them to post on here soon.

September 5th marked 2 years since we lost my cousin Tony.

It was a year ago September 9th that my Uncle Troy lost his battle with Cancer. Even though I didn't see Troy often, he was my favorite Uncle. There was never a time I was around him, that he didn't make me laugh. Other than Katelyn he was the closest person to me that I have lost. Look in your Herald Journal from last Saturday, B section, for pictures and a few words from his family.

Belated Birthday's

I have all of the family's birthday's wrote down in my calendar. I refer to it at the beginning of every month to make sure I get everyone's birthday listed on our blog. The calendar has been at the apartment until today. So I finally got to look at it and I realized that I have missed two birthdays!

I'm so sorry that I am just now getting these posted.

We also want to wish my Father-In-Law, Dray's Dad a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! WE HOPE YOUR BIRTHDAY WAS A GREAT ONE!

Golf

Dylan is playing Golf this Fall. He is playing for The First Tee of Spartanburg. His games are every Monday at 5:15 across the street from The Creek Golf Course. He went this past Monday, they got the teams together and practiced some. If you get the chance to come see him play I know he would love it. As soon as I get to attend a game I will take pictures.

Chores

Now that there is yard work to do, one of Dylan's chores is to pick the weeds out of the rocks around the house every Saturday. This past Saturday he wanted to spray the rocks. We said no but we told him he could spray off the stepping stones. I got a picture of him doing that. I also took a couple of pictures of the babies enjoying the outside.

And The Winner Is...

On Saturday, after we had lunch, I took the babies out on the back porch in their walkers. Dylan though it would be fun for Nathan and Jordan to have a race. I told him that it would not be fair since Nathan doesn't walk in his walker yet. So he decided that he would push Nathan while Jordan walked. Of course Nathan was the winner. After he raced them a few times, he asked me to push Jordan. So we ended up having a Baby Walker Race. It was a lot of fun.

It's Nice To Have A Yard!

I took these today while the boys were playing outside. They had a lot of fun! And so did I. Nathan was still at Daddy & Judy's.

Playing in a Box

I took this last night. Jordan had fun sitting in the box watching the cars go by. Him and Dylan even played train. Dylan was the engine and he was the caboose. Nathan stayed with Daddy & Judy last night, and he's staying again tonight. But that is why he is not in the pictures.

3BR, 2Baths, 1/4 Acre With Pond

No, we don't really have a pond but you would have thought we did yesterday with all of the rain we got.

(This is after the first shower.)

(The last 3, I took during the 2nd shower.)

Dentist

I took Nathan to the dentist last Wednesday. He said that all of Nathan's teeth are decaying. He wants to cap all of his teeth. I'm not too crazy about him doing all that work on Nathan. We are going to take him to another dentist to get a second opinion. I didn't feel comfortable with that dentist and neither did Nathan. I told them that it was hard to brush Nathan's teeth. They told me to hold his head between my legs to brush them. Yeah Right! I will not do that to Nathan. Everyone that I have talked to agrees with me, that it would be traumatic for Nathan, Including his therapist. I told him that he has a chromosome problem, but he didn't ask any questions about it other than what chromosome it was. All he wanted to do basically, is blame me for his teeth being the way they are. He said that I shouldn't be giving Nathan anything but water in between meals because drinking juice is like having a piece of candy in his mouth all day.

Anyway, bottom line, we didn't like him. I will let you know when he sees another dentist. I haven't had time yet to call one with us moving.
