If you didn't watch Dr.Phil this morning I strongly urge that you watch it this evening. At least go to his website and read about today's show. It is about deaf and blind triplets, they're the only ones in the world. As a Mom of a special needs child, life can seem overwhelming at times. There are days when I question myself "Can I do this?" I don't think I will ever ask myself that again. This family really touched me, this woman is a strong woman to do what she does everyday. They have a documentary coming out about these girls, a portion of the money goes to this family. You can go to the site and pre-order the movie. I'm asking all of you to please order the movie or donate money to them. If anyone is deserving of the money, they are. The cost of paying someone to teach these children how to communicate is thousands of dollars. Of course Dr.Phil is helping them out for a couple of years but they will live with this for the rest of their lives. I have included in this post a clip from the documentary. Remember to watch Dr. Phil tonight at 7:00 on Channel 9 (Charter). And if you can afford to donate any amount of money, please do so.
Here is link to the movie website: Through Your Eyes The Movie : Documentary

Amanda's Mom had to have emergency surgery last Thursday and had been in ICU until today. She's still in a lot of pain, but Amanda said she is doing a lot better. Please keep Mrs.Sparks and her family in your prayers.

I know I haven't been posting much this week. I've been sick, which I'm feeling much better, but Jordan has been sick so I haven't had time to post or much to post about. Jordan finally gave me something to post about on Friday. He normally doesn't go to sleep after he eats his breakfast, but I guess because he was feeling so bad he couldn't stand to stay awake any longer and he decided to fall asleep in his highchair. Of course I had to take some pictures of him, and I couldn't leave Nathan out. I had to get a picture of him too, with his messy face. =) Also on Friday, Jordan ventured off to Dylan's room and when I went to get him he had got Dylan's PlayStation controller and was playing the game! It was so cute! Of course by the time I got the camera he wasn't standing the same way that he was at first, but I still had to get some pictures. As for Dylan, he was out of school a couple of days this week, he wasn't as bad as Jordan but he was running a fever. He is feeling better and was able to ride home from school Friday with his best friend Garrison. He was so excited. I haven't got any pictures of him this week but I will try my best to get some pictures of him up on here soon.

Dylan found his Darth Vader hat in the building today, he brought it in the house to play with it. We soon discovered that Nathan and Jordan enjoyed playing with it just as much as Dylan. I only got one picture of Jordan because he wanted to take it off. I only got one of Dylan because he said it was hurting his forehead. But Nathan loved having it on, so I was able to get a few of him. He laughed the whole time he had it on. They were so cute!

Dylan lost Another tooth on Saturday. That makes 3 holes now! His has started losing them like crazy. His other top front tooth is lose too.
On Friday, the school called saying Dylan had ran into a wall and would probably need stitches. This is the first call of it's kind that I have got. I was ready to see him and see what kind of damage he had done. When he got home as he was coming up on the porch he asked me if he was going to have to have stitches. I told him that yes he probably would and he just started screaming and crying, saying "I don't want to have stitches!" Well, it ended up, he didn't get the stitches. Dray took him to the ER, sat there for 3 hours and they didn't even make it out of the waiting room. Dray called the doctors office and they said that if it wasn't blue around it, that it probably didn't need stitching. I looked at again and knowing how Jordan's looked, I didn't feel that he needed stitches. He said that as they were walking in line one little boy pushed another little boy then that boy pushed Dylan and he ran head first into the wall. I'm so glad that it wasn't any worse. He has a huge goose egg, but the cut seems to be healing well.

Saturday evening we stopped by the Honda place to look at the Vans, and as we were leaving Dylan said he wanted to stop and look at the toaster. I said, What? The toaster? It was a Scion that we had past on the way in! Hahaha! When I got out of the van and looked at it, I told Dray I could see Dylan driving something like this. It was affordable too, on $14,000. I had to get some pictures so you all could see Dylan with the "Toaster".

I feel so bad that I haven't posted this earlier. Wednesday Papa Hammett was supposed to have a stint put in, because his arteries are clogging again. He has already had triple bypass surgery. Momma called today and said that when he got there, they told him that one artery is too blocked to do anything about. One is completely clear, and the other is 60% clear. So they are going to do a stress test on him Monday. Please keep him in your prayers.

Judy went to the surgeon Tuesday and he said that he didn't believe it was skin cancer. He wants to see her back in two weeks to look at the spot again. He said that he could cut it off and send it for testing but with the eyelid being such a tender spot, he wants to wait, and so did Judy. Thank You all for your prayers!

We went to Seth's birthday party Saturday. Amanda had it at her Dad's Church. The boys had a great time. Dylan got to play with Samuel (Amanda's nephew) They get along real well with each other. Seth LOVED his cake as you will see in the pictures. He was totally opposite from Jordan. Jordan was more conservative with his cake. Seth got all messy, he was sooo cute! I forgot to take my camera but Stephanie took pictures and made Amanda a CD, Amanda brought the CD here today for me to copy.

I talked to Judy (My Step-Mom for those of you that have no clue as to who I'm talking about) today and she told me that she has to see a surgeon Tuesday about a spot on her eye. She went to the doctor yesterday and the doctor said that it could be skin cancer. So please keep her in your prayers through this difficult time. Thank You!

Dray and I are going to visit The SOAR Academy tomorrow. It is a private school for children with special needs. It is rather costly, but they do have limited scholarships available. When we go tomorrow, if we are still interested they will give me some paperwork to fill out and bring back, then they will let us know how much financial assistance they can give us. If he gets in, he will start school soon. He would be going M-F 8-2! The therapist that work there are the therapist from the Rehab office he is going to now. Oh and that's another thing, He would not go to therapy through the school year, Cindy and Stacey said that they could see him after school, but the way he tires so easily, it probably wouldn't be a good idea. He would be getting therapy all day at school, and Stacey does work at the school too. They would see him through the summer months. If The Soar Academy doesn't go through he will start The Charles Lee Center in August. I had a meeting today at the district office with the lady over placing special needs children and Edith from Playworks. Edith is setting up some appointments for us to visit the Charles Lee Center and Oakland's special needs class room, to see what we like best. But between those two schools we all agreed Charles Lee is best for him. Edith is also setting up an appointment to have his hearing checked since he hasn't had a screening since birth. So I will let you all know how everything goes with this whole school thing! I want what is best for him and I know school is....but the Mommy in me doesn't want to let him go...he's my baby!! I seriously see myself crying the whole time he is at school that first day!

Dylan lost another tooth this morning at school! The nurse gave him a little tooth treasure box to keep it in. He was so excited telling me about it when he came home. It was his top right front tooth. Tonight before he went to sleep he told Dray that he wanted to keep his tooth, that he didn't want the tooth fairy to get it. Dray asked him where he had put it and he said on the kitchen counter. He had put the treasure box with the tooth in it under a cup he had flipped upside down. Dray asked him if he was hiding it from the tooth fairy and he said yes. I asked him why he would rather keep the tooth, than to get the money for it. He said that, that tooth was his buddy. He has another loose tooth and he pointed to it and said that he didn't want to keep that one when it came out because it wasn't his buddy. He is so silly! I LOVE him SO much!!!
PS: I think the tooth fairy will leave money and not take the tooth, since he doesn't want her to take it! ;)

We took the kids to the Circus Saturday night, they all had a great time! Pam and Rick went too so they were there to help with the babies, which I am so thankful for!! Nathan did get cranky half way through the show, but once Dray got him he was fine. I don't think he was crazy about the noise of everyone clapping and yelling. This was the first time I had been since I was a child, and I can't remember much of that. We all loved it and are definitely going back next time!
